Shakeel came to College from Auckland Grammar School where he achieved excellent year 13 results, and has held a major Trinity International Scholarship throughout his undergraduate years. He has shown sustained commitment to both his university and college endeavours, including as the Education Officer of the Melbourne University Mechanical Engineering Student Society (MESS) to advance academic engagement interest in his field of engineering. He has consistently achieved excellent university grades.
Within Trinity, Shakeel garnered the respect of all through success and leadership on the sporting field, commendably captaining the Men’s Hockey team to victory in 2015. He was engaged with the pastoral care program through his roles as Student Coordinator and O-week volunteer, and wholeheartedly embodied the spirit and traditions of the College in his role as the Jester or spirit leader. He was a true friend to all, and always generous in encouraging younger students.
We thank and congratulate Shakeel for his considerably diverse involvement and achievements, and wish him all the best for his exciting future.
